The Office of Community Development and its consultants held the fourth Isle de Jean Charles Community Meeting at the IDJC Fire Station on December 9, 2017 from 10 a.m. to noon. About 80 participants attended the meeting, including 16 current Island residents, members of the larger IDJC community and elected officials. The goals of this meeting were:
1. Gather preferences on new site design and record questions about design.
2. Inspire hope and excitement surrounding the new community.
3. Provide detailed, concrete, and transparent information on the project’s progress.
4. Answer attendee questions.
